Ivy Lane card
As this month I am working with the Ivy Lane paper range I thought I would share with you a card I created yesterday using Ivy Lane and the new Dreamer stamp set. This is such a gorgeous stamp set, it's so inspiring!!

This card idea is from the book Originals, card Confidence Program, a very handy book when I get stuck for ideas with over 150 pages of card ideas and instructions, templates for circles, ovals & other shapes, and lots of different sized envelope templates.

I didn't think Ivy Lane would be one of my favourites, but so far I am loving it! I love the colours and the patterns of the artwork, especially the gorgeous co-ordinating embellishments like the flower I used on this card.

To make this card:

Supplies
  • Pear cardstock
  • Colonial White cardstock
  • Blush & Hollyhock patterned paper from Ivy Lane
  • DREAMER stamp set
  • Inks - Pear, Gypsy, & Hollyhock
  • Trim from paper (this is the paper ribbon bit. All of CTMH papers have an extra bit 12" by about 1/2" that you can cut off to use as embellishments, and on the reverse side list the other colours that co-ordinate with that paper range).
  • Gypsy flower
  • Adhesive
  • 3D Foam Tape

Instructions
  1. Begin with a folded Pear card base (5” x 7”).
  2. Cut the blush & hollyhock patterned paper 4 3/4" x 6 3/4". Adhere to centre of card base.
  3. Cut the top piece of trim from the paper to measure 5" long. Adhere to card. Cut two extra pieces of the trim to use as the bow, dovetail the ends and adhere to card (the other ends will be covered by the flower)
  4. Cut a piece of Pear cardstock 2 1/4" x 6 1/4" and adhere to card.
  5. Cut three 2"x2" squares from Colonial White cardstock.
  6. Stamp the Butterfly in Pear ink onto one 2" square, and distress the edges in Pear.
  7. Stamp the sentiment in Gypsy ink onto one 2" square, and distress the edges in Gypsy.
  8. Stamp the heart in Hollyhock ink onto one 2" square, and distress the edges in Hollyhock.
  9. Adhere the three 2" squares to the Pear cardstock with 3D Foam Tape.
  10. Adhere the Gypsy rose onto the paper bow.

Well that's it, pretty easy but the card looks stunning I think. Let me know how you go with making the card or about other cards you have made.

Happy papercrafting, Natalie xx
